Burlington Baseball & Softball 2010 Registration reminder

Only about two weeks remain to register for the Burlington Baseball & Softball 2010 season!

Please note that the Spring season registration period is open through February 15. After that date a $25 late fee will apply to all registrations. If you have already registered, thank you!

To begin registering on-line, select "Register Online" from the left hand navigation pane.

How to Register Online:  To get started, you will need to select the division you want to register for. The system is setup to allow you to register a child only in a division that meets their requirements determined by their date of birth and grade.  Once selected, the program will ask you to open your personal account.  Returning parents/players should already have an account.  Simply log in with your email and password, verify all the information is correct, and then continue on with the registration.

Playball ! The Online Registration System is open...

The Online Registration Programs are Open for All 2010 Divisions as of December 29th, 2009.

The Burlington Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) is proud to announce that our Online Registration System is now open for all 2010 Divisions.  Spread the word!

To begin registering on-line, select "Register Online" from the left hand navigation pane or click HERE.

How to Register Online:  To get started, you will need to select the division you want to register for. Important Birthdate Requirement Changes....

The Burlington Baseball/Softball Association hopes that everyone is enjoying the holiday season and wishes you a Happy New Year! We would like to call your attention to an important change that may affect some players age 10 and under.
 
We have adjusted the birthdate requirements for our younger baseball leagues to more closely align with grade levels and allow nearly all Kindergarteners to enter the Tball league. Changes have been made to Tball/Farm/Rookie/Ripken A.  All softball and the rest of the baseball leagues are unaffected. Due to the grade realignment of the younger leagues, some kids already in the baseball program will 'skip' a league in the coming season. We are confident that these kids (who will now be playing with their same grade level) are ready for the league they will be entering.
 
In order for our older baseball leagues to align with national age/birthdate requirements, the Ripken A league will now be a level adjustment league for baseball players born May 1 through August 31. Kids with birthdays in this range will play at grade level until Ripken A. They will then repeat the Ripken A league the following year before moving on to Ripken AA. The Ripken A league has official umpires and baseball rules, so these kids will still be able to fully progress and enhance their skills in a competitive league.

Softball players that begin softball at any time up through the first year of Ripken A will not be affected, since they will remain in grade based leagues upon the switch to softball. Our softball affiliation does not require the same birthdate split that is required by the national Ripken/Babe Ruth baseball organization (which uses the same birthdate split endorsed by Little League). All players born September 1 through April 30 at all levels are also unaffected.
 
Our new birthdate/league chart follows so you can confirm which leagues your children are eligible for in 2010. Look for 2010 registration online soon!

Ripken A May 2000 - August 2001
Ripken AA May 1999 - April 2000

Ripken AAA/Majors May 1997 - April 1999
Sr. Softball Grades 7, 8
Babe Ruth Minors May 1996 - April 1997
Babe Ruth Majors May 1994 - April 1996
